Progressive Agriculture Foundation® President and CEO, Brian Kuhl, Elected President of the International Society of Agricultural Safety and Health

[February 8, 2024; Birmingham, Alabama] – The Progressive Agriculture Foundation (PAF) is thrilled to announce that our esteemed President and CEO, Brian Kuhl, has been elected as the President of the International Society of Agricultural Safety and Health (ISASH). This prestigious appointment reflects Kuhl’s dedication to advancing safety and health practices within the agricultural community globally.

With a wealth of experience and a relentless commitment to promoting agricultural safety, Kuhl has been a driving force behind PAF’s initiatives aimed at educating and empowering individuals in the agriculture sector. Under his leadership, PAF has become a leading organization dedicated to cultivating a culture of safety, ensuring the protection and well-being of rural families and communities involved in agriculture across North America. Because of his contributions to agricultural safety and health practice, policy, and research, Kuhl was also named The Journal of Agromedicine’s 2023 “Leader in the Field.”1

The election of Kuhl as the President of ISASH is a testament to his expertise and leadership in the field, along with his six-year-long tenure with the organization. ISASH plays a pivotal role in promoting research, education, and outreach efforts to enhance agricultural safety and health practices globally. Kuhl will continue to bring a wealth of knowledge and a visionary approach to furthering ISASH’s mission and fostering collaboration within the industry.

“I feel deeply honored to take on the role of President at ISASH. The opportunity to contribute to the advancement of agricultural safety and health on an international level is both exciting and humbling. I look forward to collaborating with ISASH members and partners to create positive and lasting impacts in our shared mission,” Kuhl stated.

The connection between PAF and ISASH spans multiple years and members. In 2023, Brian became the president-elect after the term of Amy Rademaker, a volunteer coordinator with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation for two decades and Geschke Award recipient, ended. Kuhl’s term will continue through ISASH’s 2024 annual conference, set to take place on June 17-20, 2024, in Portland, Oregon. PAF’s Program Manager, Jana Davidson, also serves as the co-chair of the Public Relations Committee for ISASH. PAF extends its warmest congratulations to Brian Kuhl on this remarkable achievement and expresses gratitude for his continued dedication to improving the well-being of those involved in agriculture. The Foundation is confident that Kuhl will bring innovation and inspiration to ISASH, fostering a safer and healthier future for the international agricultural community.
