Polaris Expands Partnership with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation® to Strengthen Youth Safe Riding Practices
[August 2, 2023; Birmingham, Alabama] – The Progressive Agriculture Foundation® (PAF) today announced the increased support from the Polaris Foundation to strengthen education efforts for children on safe riding practices for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility task vehicles (UTVs) through the Foundation’s Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® (PAF Safety Day) program.
Since 2019, Polaris Inc., the global leader in powersports, has been a partner of the Foundation providing more than $280,000 in support as well as a youth side-by-side RANGER UTV. The Foundation’s PAF Safety Day program has been offering ATV/UTV hands-on education with peer-reviewed curriculum since 1997. Among the nearly 400 PAF Safety Day programs throughout the United States and Canada, ATV/UTV safety has consistently ranked in the top five most popular topics offered among the more the 30 safety and health areas available.
“It is an honor to partner with such as trusted industry leader as we continue to bolster our ATV/UTV safety education to align with the industry’s evolving technology and safety features,” said Brian Kuhl, president and CEO of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation. “Knowing that many ATV/UTV incidents occur due to unsafe operating behaviors, we remain confident in teaching youth proper safe riding practices through age-appropriate, engaging techniques and encouraging them to share the potentially life-saving messages within their communities.”
This expanded support from Polaris will play a pivotal role in helping to reach more youth and rural communities with ATV/UTV education through the PAF Safety Day program. Additionally, the partnership addresses the ever-growing demand for ATV/UTV safety education through the Program’s delivery modes as well as additional outreach initiatives.
"Youth safety is a primary focus area of the Polaris Foundation and we are thrilled to expand upon our partnership with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation and further support their work around educating children on safe riding practices," said Dana Anderson, senior manager, community outreach, Polaris.
